Welcome to Jan Sewa. We built this platform to empower you to improve your neighborhood. We believe that building a better community starts with trust. This policy outlines how we handle your data with transparency and care.
By using Jan Sewa, you trust us with your reports. We do not sell your personal information. We only use it to route your complaints to the correct civic authorities (e.g., Municipal Corporation, PWD, Jal Board).
We believe in "Data Minimization" we only ask for what is needed to fix the problem.
Why? To pinpoint the exact location of the civic issue (e.g., the specific pothole or streetlight). This ensures the repair crew goes to the right spot without calling you for directions.
Why? A picture is worth a thousand words. Photos serve as verifiable evidence for the authorities to assess the severity of the problem and prioritize it.
Why? We need your phone number to create a secure account (via OTP) and to send you SMS updates when your complaint is "Resolved" or "In Progress."
Why? We collect basic device logs (OS version, app crashes) to help our technical team fix bugs and improve app performance.
